Group FaceTime audio and video call requirements

You can make or receive Group FaceTime calls in the FaceTime app when you meet the following requirements:

• You’re connected to the internet.

• You’re signed in to your Apple Account for FaceTime.

• You have a built-in or connected microphone; for FaceTime video calls, you also need a built-in or connected camera.

• You have one of the following:

  • macOS 10.14.3 Supplemental Update or later (See the Apple Support article About the security content of macOS Mojave 10.14.3 Supplemental Update.)

  • iOS 12.1.4 or later

  • iPadOS 13 or later

You can join a Group FaceTime call from your browser when you meet the following requirements:

• You’re connected to the internet.

• You have a built-in or connected microphone; for FaceTime video calls, you also need a built-in or connected camera (H.264 video encoding support required).

• You have an Android or Windows device with the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

This feature may not be available in all countries or regions.
