Charge AirPods Max
Connect AirPods Max to a power outlet using a Lightning to USB Cable and a compatible power adapter.
Note: To help maintain the battery charge when you’re not using AirPods Max, put AirPods Max in sleep mode by placing them in the Smart Case. (You can’t play audio on AirPods Max when they’re in the Smart Case.)

Check the charge status
You can check the charge status of your AirPods Max on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
iPhone or iPad: Wear your AirPods or hold them next to your device and make sure they’re connected. Wait a few seconds to see the charge status.
When your AirPods are connected to your device, you can also go to Settings
, then tap the name of your AirPods near the top of the screen to see the charge status.Mac: Wear your AirPods or hold them close to your Mac and make sure they’re connected. On your Mac, click
