Use your iPhone after service

Here's information on how to use your iPhone after service.

  1. Record the serial number of your replacement iPhone. Your serviced part or product is covered by a 90-day service warranty, or the remainder of your original product warranty or AppleCare plan, whichever is longer. Consumer law may also apply to your serviced or replaced product where applicable.

  2. Charge your iPhone.

  3. Insert the SIM card into your iPhone, if your iPhone uses a SIM card. If your iPhone uses an eSIM, contact your wireless service provider to set up your new eSIM.

  4. Restore your iPhone from an iCloud backup or a backup on your computer.

  5. Check your Apple ID device list to confirm that you're signed in.
