If you have duplicate events on your iCloud Calendar

Here's how to hide or delete calendars or events on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC.

Hide and unhide calendars

On your iPhone or iPad

  1. In the Calendar app, tap Calendars.

  2. Select or deselect the calendar’s checkbox in the Calendar list to show or hide a calendar’s events.

  3. Tap Done.

If you want, you can also unsubscribe from unwanted calendars on your iPhone.

On your Mac

  1. In the Calendar app, select View > Show Calendar List.

  2. Select or deselect the calendar’s checkbox in the Calendar list to show or hide a calendar’s events. To show or hide events from all calendars, press the Command key while you select or deselect any calendar’s checkbox.

Hide and unhide Holidays and Birthdays

On your iPhone or iPad

  1. In the Calendar app, tap Calendars.

  2. Select [Country] Holidays and Birthdays to include national holidays and birthdays from Contacts with your events, or deselect to hide these from your calendar view.

  3. Tap Done.

If you see multiple birthday events for a contact, check if you have more than one contact card for that specific person. Open the Contacts app, tap the Search field at the top, then enter the contact's name. If you see multiple results for the same contact, tap the contact, then tap edit to manage, delete, or consolidate their contact information.

On your Mac

  1. In the Calendar app, select Calendar > Settings, then click General.

  2. Select Show Birthdays calendar or Show Holidays calendar, or deselect to hide these from your calendar view.

Delete local calendars

On your Mac

  1. Make a copy of your iCloud calendar data.

  2. Click Settings > Accounts, and click the calendar that you want to delete.

  3. Click the minus sign in the bottom left corner.

On your PC

  1. Make a copy of your iCloud calendar data.

  2. In My Calendars, right-click the calendar that you'd like to delete and choose Delete Calendar. Outlook won't let you delete the default Calendar, but you should be able to remove other calendars that you have permission to delete.
