Automatically created About descriptions in Apple Business Connect
Note: Automatically created About descriptions are a Beta feature. You can help Apple improve these About descriptions by providing feedback.
What is an automatically created About description?
Using data from your website, Apple can automatically create an About description for your location. This description tells customers more about your business and provides a richer Place Card. You need to review and save this to publish it to your location’s Place Card. You can also choose to edit the About description before saving it.
View and save the automatically created About description
If you’re not already signed in to Apple Business Connect, sign in.
If you’re associated with more than one company, select the appropriate company from the Company list
.Select Locations
in the sidebar, then select a Location.Note: When you click or tap Sign In from the “Stand out on Maps with an automatically created description” email, it opens your location or locations list.
Select the About section to review the description.
Optionally, you can select Provide Feedback to send Apple feedback on the automatically created About description.
Important: After you select Save, you can’t provide feedback to Apple.
Select Save.
The saved About description is then published to your Place Card. You can also edit the automatically created About description at any time. See Configure location attributes.
Edit and save the automatically created About description

Select the About section and edit the description.
If necessary, select Revert to undo your edits.
Optionally, you can select Provide Feedback to send Apple feedback on the automatically created About description.
Important: After you select Save, you can’t provide feedback to Apple.
Select Save.
The saved About description is then published to your Place Card. You can also edit the automatically created About description at any time. See Configure location attributes.
Remove the automatically created About description
Removing the automatically created About description content is permanent. You can add your own location description at any time.
If you’re not already signed in to Apple Business Connect, sign in.
If you’re associated with more than one company, select the appropriate company from the Company list

Select the About section, then delete the location description content.
Optionally, you can select Provide Feedback to send Apple feedback on the automatically created About description.
Important: After you select Save, you can’t provide feedback to Apple.
Select Save.
