Redownload books and audiobooks

If you see a message that says an audiobook can no longer be purchased on Apple Books, you can try to redownload it.

How to redownload books or audiobooks on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Open the Apple Books app, then tap Reading Now at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the sign-in button  or your photo in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  3. Under My Purchases, tap either Books or Audiobooks.
    If you use Family Sharing, you can tap a family member's name to see their purchases.
  4. Tap "Not on this [device]," then tap All Books or All Audiobooks.
  5. Find the book or audiobook that you want to download, then tap the download button Don't see the item that you purchased?

How to redownload books or audiobooks on a Mac

  1. Open Apple Books.
  2. From the menu bar at the top of the Apple Books window, choose Store > Book Store Home.
  3. Under Quick Links, click Purchased. 
  4. Click "Not in My Library" to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
    If you use Family Sharing, you can choose a family member's name next to Purchased to see their purchases.
  5. Click Books or Audiobooks to narrow down your results. 
  6. Find the book that you want to download, then click the download button  in the corner. Don't see the item that you purchased?

How to redownload audiobooks on iTunes for Windows

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > Purchased.
    If you use Family Sharing, you'll see Family Purchases instead of Purchased.
  3. Choose Audiobooks from the menu in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window.
  4. Find the audiobook that you want to redownload.
    If you use Family Sharing, you can choose a family member's name next to Purchased to see their purchases.
  5. Click the download button  for the audiobook. Don't see the item that you purchased?
