Add funds to your Apple ID

With the payment method that you have on file, you can add funds to the Apple ID that you use for iTunes & App Store and iCloud Storage purchases.

Before you can add funds to your Apple ID, you have to have a valid payment method on file. Learn about the payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID.

     

On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
  2. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in with your Apple ID. Learn how to create an Apple ID if you don't have one.
  3. Tap "Add Funds to Apple ID1."
  4. Tap the amount that you want to add, or tap Other to enter a specific amount.
  5. Tap Next, then confirm your selection. Some payment methods might prompt you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.

After you authorize the payment, the funds credit to your Apple ID. You can use the credit to make iTunes & App Store purchases or buy more iCloud storage.

On a Mac or PC

  1. Open iTunes. If you're not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID. Learn how to create an Apple ID if you don't have one.
  2. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > View My Account.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID, then click View Account.

On the Account Information page:

  1. Scroll to the Apple ID Account section, then click "Add Funds to Apple ID1."
  2. Click the amount that you want to add, or click Other to enter a specific amount.
  3. Click Next, then confirm your selection. Some payment methods might prompt you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.

After you authorize the payment, the funds credit to your Apple ID. You can use the credit to make iTunes & App Store purchases or buy more iCloud storage.
