Add, remove, or reorder ticker symbols in the watchlist in Stocks on Mac

Customize the watchlist to display the ticker symbols you view regularly.

You don’t need to know the ticker symbol for any ticker symbol you want to follow. Just knowing the name is enough to get you started.

Add ticker symbols to your watchlist using the File menu

In the Stocks app on your Mac, choose File > Add Symbol.
In the search field, type a name or ticker symbol.
In the search results list, click the ticker symbol you want to add.
Detailed information about the ticker symbol is displayed in the pane on the right.
In the pane on the right, click the Add button (located to the left of the ticker symbol).

In the Stocks app on your Mac, choose Edit > Edit Watchlist.
Click the Add button in the upper-left corner of the watchlist.
In the search field, type a name or ticker symbol.
Find the ticker symbol you’re looking for in the search results list, then click the Add button (located to the left of the ticker symbol).
When you finish adding ticker symbols in the search results list, click Cancel to return to the Manage Watchlist view.
In the Manage Watchlist view, you can search for and add more ticker symbols.
When you are finished, click Done to return to your watchlist.

In the Stocks app on your Mac, choose Edit > Edit Watchlist.
Click the Remove button next to the ticker symbol, then click Remove.
When you finish removing ticker symbols, click Done to return to your watchlist.
