Change Files settings in Apple Music on Windows

In the Apple Music app on your Windows computer, use Files settings to set and organize your Apple Music Media folder.

To change these settings, select the Sidebar Actions button at the top of the sidebar, choose Settings, then select Files.

Option	Description
Media folder location	Select the Media folder location, where songs and other files you import into Apple Music are located. Change: Choose a folder other than the original location, Music\Apple Music. Reset: Choose to reset to the original location.
Keep Media folder organized	Automatically move imported music into folders for album and artist.
Copy files to Media folder when adding to library	Copy an item to the Apple Music Media folder when you drag the item to the Apple Music window. See Add files to your library but not to your Apple Music folder.
