Do more with Notes
With the Notes app on iPad, you can easily capture your thoughts, record information, and explore your creativity. Start a Quick Note from anywhere, add images to your notes, share notes, and use search tags to find notes quickly.

Start a Quick Note anywhere
To jot a note from any screen or app, just swipe up from the bottom-right corner of the screen, tap the note, and start typing. Pinch the note open to change its size, or drag it off either side of the screen to hide it while you work. Swipe from the bottom-right corner to show it again (not available on iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 4).

Add an image to a handwritten note
You can add images to handwritten notes to further illustrate your ideas. Just drag an image saved in Photos or another app onto the drawing area of the note, then position and resize it. You can also write or draw on the image itself, for added emphasis or clarification.

Share a note with friends and family
A shared note is a great way to collaborate on a group project, a family to-do list, and more. To share a note, swipe left on the note in the notes list, tap , then choose a sharing option. After you share, tap
to see collaborator activity, add more people, or stop sharing.

Quickly find notes
You can search for almost anything in notes—handwritten text, objects within images, even text in scanned documents. Swipe down on the notes list, then type what you’re looking for. You can also use tags like #recipes and #errands to sort and filter your notes. To search for a tag, just type it in the search field or type # to see search suggestions.
