Jump to locations in TextEdit documents on Mac
You can jump to a line or to the location of the insertion point in a TextEdit document.
Jump to a line
- In the TextEdit app  on your Mac, choose Edit > Find > Select Line, or press Command-L. on your Mac, choose Edit > Find > Select Line, or press Command-L.
- Do one of the following: - Jump to a specific line: Enter its number. 
- Jump forward or backward a number of lines: Enter “+” or “-” and the number of lines. - For example, to jump forward 5 lines, enter “+5.” 
 
- Click Select, or press Return. 
Return to your cursor’s location
In the TextEdit app  on your Mac, choose Edit > Find > Jump to Selection, or press Command-J.
