Use Centre Stage to keep you centred in the camera frame
Centre Stage uses machine learning to help keep you centred in your video as you move around.
Use Centre Stage on Mac
Make sure that your device meets the Centre Stage system requirements below.
Open your video app, such as FaceTime.
Turn Centre Stage on or off:
macOS Sonoma 14 or later: From the
in the menu bar, choose Centre Stage.macOS Ventura 13 or macOS Monterey 12: Click
in the menu bar, click Video Effects, then click Centre Stage.
When using Centre Stage with Continuity Camera, you can also choose which rear camera of your iPhone to use: Click the arrow next to Centre Stage in the menu, then choose Main or Ultra Wide.
Manual framing adjustment
Instead of having Centre Stage keep you centred in the frame, you can zoom, pan and recentre manually. Turn off Centre Stage, then move your pointer over the preview in the manual framing adjustments and other video features.

Make sure that your iPad meets the Centre Stage system requirements below.
Open your video app, such as FaceTime.
Open Control Centre by swiping down from the top right-hand corner of your screen.
Turn Centre Stage on or off:
Tap the [App Name] Controls button at the top of Control Centre. For example, if using FaceTime, tap FaceTime Controls. (In iPadOS 17 or earlier, tap the Video Effects button instead.)
Tap the Centre Stage button in the additional controls that appear.
