Add and download music from Apple Music

If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can add music and music videos from the Apple Music catalogue to your music library. Stream music that you've added over an internet connection. Or download music that you've added to listen to offline.

Add music from Apple Music to your library

Follow the steps below for your device.

On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Android device

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. Find music that you want to add to your library.
  3. To add a song, tap the Add button the Add button icon. To add an album, playlist or music video, tap +Add. You can also press and hold something that you want to add, then tap Add to Library.

On your Mac or PC

  1. Open the Apple Music app or iTunes. 
  2. Find music that you want to add to your library.
  3. To add a song, click the Add button the Add button icon.  To add an album, playlist or music video, click +Add.


Download music that you've added to your music library

After you've added music to your library, you can download it to your device to listen to offline. Just follow the steps below for your device.

On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Android device

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. Find the music that you've added from Apple Music.
  3. Tap the Download button the Download button icon.

  1. Open the Apple Music app or iTunes.
  2. Find the music that you've added from Apple Music.
  3. Click the Download button the Download button icon.
