Use Aeroplane Mode on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro

With Aeroplane Mode, you can turn off cellular and Wi-Fi on your device during a flight.

Turn on Airplane Mode

  • On your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro, open Control Centre and tap the Aeroplane Mode buttonAeroplane Mode button . This turns off all radios except for Bluetooth. Turning off Aeroplane Mode can also help to save battery, lower roaming charges while travelling and force a signal refresh.

  • On your Apple Watch, press the side button to open Control Centre, then tap the Aeroplane Mode buttonAeroplane Mode button . In watchOS 9 and earlier, swipe up from the watch face to open Control Centre.

If the airline allows it, you can still use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in Aeroplane Mode. If you turn off Bluetooth while you're in Aeroplane Mode, your device turns off Bluetooth the next time that you turn on Aeroplane Mode.

Mirror Aeroplane Mode settings between devices

  1. Open the Apple Watch on your iPhone.

  2. Tap General, then tap Aeroplane Mode.

  3. Tap to turn on Mirror iPhone.
