If you can't connect Logic Remote to Logic Pro, GarageBand or MainStage

To connect Logic Remote, check the network settings on your devices or remove a TouchOSC control surface from Logic Pro.

Make sure all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network

Your iPhone or iPad running Logic Remote and your Mac running Logic Pro must be on the same Wi-Fi network:

Make sure Logic Remote can access the local network

With iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 or later, any app that wants to interact with devices on your network must ask for permission the first time it tries to browse your local network. You can check to make sure that the app can access your local network:

  1. In the Settings app, go to Privacy > Local Network.
  2. Make sure that Logic Remote is turned on.

Change firewall settings on your Mac

Firewall settings on your Mac might be blocking Logic Remote from connecting.

macOS Ventura or later

  1. Choose System Settings from the Apple menu , then click Network in the sidebar.
  2. Click Firewall.
  3. Click the Options button.
  4. Turn off "Block all incoming connections", then click OK.
  5. Connect Logic Remote

macOS Monterey or earlier

  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu .
  2. Click Security & Privacy in the System Preferences window.
  3. Click the Firewall tab in the Security & Privacy pane.
  4. Click the lock icon  at the bottom-left corner of the Firewall pane, then enter an administrator username and password.
  5. Click the Firewall Options button.
  6. Untick the box for "Block all incoming connections", then click OK.
  7. Connect Logic Remote

Remove TouchOSC device from Logic Pro

Logic Remote might not connect if you previously added a TouchOSC device as a control surface for Logic Pro. Check to see if you have a TouchOSC device added in Logic Pro, then remove it if you do.

  1. Close Logic Remote.
  2. Open Logic Pro on your Mac.
  3. Choose Logic Pro > Control Surfaces > Setup.
  4. Check to see if a TouchOSC device appears in the window. If so, select the device, press the Delete key, then click OK.
  5. If there are other Logic Remotes in the window, delete them.
  6. Connect Logic Remote.
