Charge a single device
To charge a single device, connect your device to either USB-C port on your power adaptor.
Charge two devices
To charge two devices, connect your devices to either port on your power adaptor. When two devices are connected, power is automatically distributed between them based on their power requirements. For most devices, power is shared evenly when you have two devices charging at the same time. For example:
If you connect a Mac laptop and an iPhone or iPad, each device receives up to 17.5W.
If you connect your iPhone and iPad, each device will receive up to 17.5W.
If you connect a Mac laptop or iPhone and an Apple Watch or AirPods, the Mac laptop or iPhone receives up to 27.5W and the Apple Watch or AirPods receive up to 7.5W.
If either device needs more power, unplug the other device and its charging cable from your power adaptor.
If your device won't charge, loses charge or charges slowly
Your device may need more power than the power adaptor can provide across one or both ports. Try these solutions:
Try charging a single device to ensure that your device is receiving the most power from your power adaptor.
If you're only charging a single device, unplug any charging cable that's not in use.
Try a different charging cable — preferably the one that came with your device.
Make sure that your devices don't need more than 35W of power, which is the maximum amount of power that the power adaptor can deliver.
If your device still isn't charging, it may not be compliant with the latest USB PD specifications.
