Vote in the Apple Support Community
Let other members in the Apple Support Community know if their reply or User Tip was helpful with an upvote or downvote. You can also select “Me too” if you have a similar question.
Why should I vote?
In the Apple Support Community, voting helps surface quality content and sort the most helpful answers. When you vote, you help calibrate answers that are marked “Top-ranking reply”. Answers designated as “Top-ranking reply” usually offer an explanation for any links in the reply as well as the “why” behind suggested troubleshooting steps. These answers help users quickly find the highest quality discussions and content.
In addition, when you upvote a reply or User Tip, you add value not only to the content but also to the community member who provided the helpful contribution, which builds their reputation in the community.
Types of votes
Upvote
Upvote to let the contributor know if their content — such as a reply to questions or a User Tip — helped. Reasons you should upvote helpful content:
Boosts valuable content
Helps create quality Q&A pairs
Surfaces helpful content to visitors
Gives power to the community to decide what is helpful
Rewards helpful contributions and helps build a reputation in the community
Downvote
If content isn’t helpful, you can downvote a reply or a User Tip. Downvoting content helps determine which scenarios aren’t helpful to users. A downvote doesn’t impact anyone’s points or reputation.
Me too
If you have the same issue, choose “Me too”. This creates traction on the question and lets the author know that they’re not the only one experiencing the issue.
