See lyrics and sing in Apple Music on your Apple TV

If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can follow along as you listen with perfectly timed lyrics that appear line-by-line and beat-by-beat. Adjust the vocals so you can sing along. And be the star of your show by using your iPhone or iPad camera to see yourself on TV.

How to see lyrics on your Apple TV

1. Open the Apple Music app.

2. Play a song from the Apple Music catalog.

3. To show or hide time-synced lyrics, select Lyrics at the bottom of the screen.

If you don't see lyrics on your Apple TV

If you don't see the Lyrics button, time-synced lyrics aren't available for that song.

If time-synced lyrics aren’t available, you might be able to see the full lyrics.

1. Play a song from the Apple Music catalog.

2. At the bottom of your screen, select More.

3. Select View Full Lyrics.

How to use Apple Music Sing on your Apple TV 4K (3rd generation)

1. Open the Apple Music app.

2. Play a song from the Apple Music catalog.

3. If you don't see time-synced lyrics automatically, select Lyrics at the bottom of the screen.

4. On your Apple TV Remote, press the Back button, then select the Mic. Don’t see the Mic button?

5. To adjust the vocals, swipe the clickpad on your Apple TV Remote up or down.

How to use your iPhone or iPad camera with Apple Music Sing on your Apple TV 4K (3rd generation)

1. While playing a song with Apple Music Sing turned on, press the Back button on your Apple TV Remote.

2. Select the Camera.

3. Select Connect iPhone or iPad.

4. On the Continuity Camera screen, select your user, confirm on your iPhone or iPad, then follow the onscreen steps to connect.

5. Place your iPhone or iPad in the landscape position in front of your Apple TV. From here, you can:

   • Change your background: Select the Camera, then select a filter.

   • Turn off the camera: Select the Camera, then select Disconnect Camera.

If you don't see the Mic button

• To use Apple Music Sing, you need an Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) updated to the latest version of tvOS.

  Not sure which Apple TV you have?

• If you have an Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) with the latest version of tvOS and don't see the Mic button, Apple Music Sing might not be available for that song.
