Manage features and settings after updating to Keynote, Pages, and Numbers 15.1
If you're an existing user of Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, here's how to manage these features and settings after updating.
Password-protected documents: To make sure saved passwords for password-protected documents transfer automatically to 15.1, open version 14.5 of each app at least once before or after installing the 15.1 versions.
Recent documents: Recent documents created in versions 14.4 or earlier don't appear when you choose Open Recent from the File menu or when you Control-click the app icon in the dock. To see recent documents, choose File, choose Open, then click Recents in the Finder sidebar. As older files are reopened, more documents will become available in the Open Recent menu.
Templates and shapes: If you have iCloud enabled for the apps, custom shapes and templates that you've saved migrate to Keynote, Pages, and Numbers 15.1 or later.
Mail Merge in Pages: If you added a link to a spreadsheet in Mail Merge in Pages 14.4 or earlier, that link won't transfer when opened in Pages 15.1. You'll have to add the link again manually after opening in Pages 15.1.
Notes in Pages: Opening notes from the Notes app in Pages 15.1 requires macOS 26 Tahoe or later.
VoiceOver: Use the latest version of macOS for the best experience.
* If you want to save storage space on your Mac, you can drag the 14.5 versions to the Trash, then empty the Trash. If you retain the older versions of the apps along with 15.1, you may receive activity notifications for collaborative documents twice. You can turn off notifications in the older versions to stop these notifications.
