View spatial scenes in Apple Vision Pro

Spatial scenes add lifelike depth to photos in your Apple Vision Pro. You can view spatial scenes in Photos, Safari, and Spatial Gallery.

How to view a spatial scene in Photos

  1. Make sure your Apple Vision Pro has the latest software. Spatial scenes require visionOS 26 or later.

  2. Open the Photos app, then tap a photo to open it.

  3. Tap the spatial scenes button that appears in the top-right corner of the photo.

  4. To immerse yourself in the spatial scene, tap the photo, then tap the Immersive button that appears next to the spatial scenes button.

  5. Tap Exit View to leave the immersive spatial scene.

The next time you open this photo in your Apple Vision Pro, it will appear as a spatial scene photo. To remove the spatial scene effect, open the photo and tap the spatial scenes button again.

View spatial scenes in other apps

When you turn on spatial browsing in Safari, large images in article-like web pages that support Reader mode are shown as spatial scenes automatically. Tap the spatial scenes button on a photo to make it appear as a regular 2D image.

You can also explore spatial scenes in the Spatial Gallery app, a regularly updated collection of Apple-curated spatial content.
