How to redownload music on your iPhone

1. Open the iTunes Store app.

2. Tap the More button.

3. Tap Purchased.

4. Tap Music. If you use Family Sharing, tap a family member to see their purchased music.

5. Select Not on This iPhone, then select the artist you'd like to download.

6. Tap the Download button next to the song you want to download.

How to redownload music on your iPad

1. Open the iTunes Store app.

2. Tap Purchased.

3. Tap Music. If you use Family Sharing, tap a family member to see their purchased music.

4. Select Not on This iPad, then select the artist you'd like to download.

5. Tap the Download button next to the song you want to download.

If you don't see or can't download music that you purchased

Check the following things.

Check if you're signed in with the Apple Account that you used to purchase the music

If you sign in with a different Apple Account than the one that's currently signed in, any purchases associated with the Apple Account you sign out of are removed from your device.

To check the Apple Account that's signed in:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Tap [your name].

3. Tap Media & Purchases.

4. Tap View Account.

See if the purchased music is hidden or deleted

1. Open the Apple Music app.

2. Tap the Account button, your photo, or initials.

3. Tap Account Settings.

4. If prompted, enter your Apple Account password.

5. Tap Hidden Purchases.

6. If you find the music, tap Unhide next to the song, then you can download it.

What to do if the download button is missing or grayed out

Check if the song or album is already in the Apple Music app.

Try signing out then back in to Media & Purchases

Signing in and out of Media & Purchases will remove downloaded content from Apple services.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Tap [your name].

3. Tap Media & Purchases.

4. Tap Sign Out.

5. Tap Media & Purchases.

6. Tap Continue to sign back in with the Apple Account you just signed out of.
