Turn Stage Manager on or off on your iPad

Use Stage Manager to resize windows to look the way you want, see multiple overlapping windows in a single view, tap to switch between apps, and more.

Turn Stage Manager on or off

1. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center.

2. Tap the Stage Manager button, or tap and hold the Stage Manager button or Windowed Apps button to switch between Stage Manager or Windowed Apps.

   

You can also turn Stage Manager on or off from the Settings app:

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Tap Multitasking & Gestures.

3. To turn Stage Manager on, select Stage Manager. To turn it off, select Full Screen Apps (or Off), or select Windowed Apps to multitask another way.
