
Read log files in Apple Business Essentials
Apple Business Essentials maintains a log of all activities you perform. These log files are an important source of troubleshooting in case an activity fails to complete successfully. If an activity fails to complete, review the log file, locate and correct the error, and then attempt the activity again.

Read a log file
In Apple Business Essentials, sign in with a user who has privileges to read log files.
Select Activity
in the sidebar.
In the list that opens, search for the category and event you want and then select it. See How to search.
Select Download Logs, then locate the file in the folder used by your web browser to download files, then open the file and locate the error.
Log errors
In Apple Business Essentials, you can read log files to learn what’s been completed and to spot errors. If an activity completes successfully, Apple Business Essentials generates the log message UPDATED. If an activity fails to complete, the log file generates messages to help you understand how to correct the error. Below are the log messages, along with their classification, description, and associated activity. Search for these messages in the log file when an activity fails.
