Some apps and websites1 offer more ways to interact with the music that you love—from discovering the next best artist to finding a new up-tempo playlist for a workout.
Give apps and websites permission to access your Apple Music membership
Apps might ask your permission to turn on Apple Music features. When an app prompts you for permission, tap OK to allow access to your library, playlists, and personal recommendations.
On iOS devices, you must also have the Music app installed for these features to work. If you removed the Music app, you can redownload it for free. Go to the App Store, search for Apple Music, then tap the Download icon to the right of the app's name.
If you're using a third-party website, open your account settings and look for an option to connect your membership. You might have to first log in to the account that you use with the website.
Turn access to Apple Music on or off
On your iOS device, you can individually control which apps have access to your Apple Music Membership: Go to Settings > Privacy > Media & Apple Music. You'll see a list of each app that has asked for permission, and you can turn an app's access to your membership on or off.
For some services, you might have to remove the app from Account Access instead. On your iOS device, open the Music app, tap For You, then tap your photo or in the upper-right corner. On your Android device, tap , then Settings. If you have apps that use this method, you'll see an Account Access section. Tap Apple Music, swipe left on the apps that you want to remove, then tap Delete.
About explicit content
If you can't play explicit songs, you might have restrictions (parental controls) turned on for music on your device. To listen to explicit songs, turn restrictions off on any of your devices.
If restrictions are turned off on all of your devices, but you still can't play explicit songs, you might need to turn restrictions for music on then off again.

If you decline such an upgrade, you will not be able to access content that requires the upgrade.
