Import MXF media from a UDF formatted Sony SxS card using Final Cut Pro

You need to install additional software to import MXF media from a UDF-formatted Sony SxS Card using Final Cut Pro.

Install necessary software

To import MXF media from a UDF-formatted Sony SxS card in Final Cut Pro, install the following:

  1. Use the Updates pane of the Mac App Store to update to Final Cut Pro to version 10.2.2.
  2. Download and install the Sony SxS UDF driver from the Sony Creative Software website.

Supported cameras

Sony cameras supported with Final Cut Pro 10.2.2 that record to UDF formatted SxS memory cards include the following:  

  • PMW-500/400/300/200/160/150/100/1000/50
  • PXW-X320/X200
