Power adapters for Apple HomeView

HomeView ships with a power cable and adapter. HomeView (Wall Mounted) requires a compatible third-party mount and power solution for operation, sold separately. Depending on the mount, you can use a separate power cable and adapter or connect to line power (hardwired).

HomeView: Use a USB-C cable and a USB-C power adapter that's at least 30W and supports 15V at 2A or higher.

HomeView (Wall Mounted): Use a USB-C cable and a USB-C power adapter (both sold separately) that's at least 20W and supports 9V at 2.22A or higher.

If HomeView shows a “Not Enough Power” message

If power requirements aren't met, the screen will also show a lightning bolt with a yellow exclamation triangle.

If you see this message after your HomeView (Wall Mounted) was professionally installed, contact your installer directly.

Confirm setup requirements

If you haven't already set up HomeView, on an iPhone with iOS 27.2 or later, or an iPad with iPadOS 27 or later:

  • Sign into your Apple Account.

  • Open the Home app,* tap the more button, tap Home Settings, and find your access level listed under your name. You must be the Resident (Owner) to set up HomeView.

  • Turn Bluetooth on. Test Bluetooth pairing by connecting your iPhone or iPad to another accessory. If your iPhone or iPad won't pair, troubleshoot Bluetooth.

  • Connect to a Wi-Fi network.

* If you haven't used the Home app before, download the app, follow the prompts to create a home, and then you'll automatically become the Resident (Owner).

Troubleshoot your power adapter, cable, adapter port, and outlet

After each step, check if the message still appears:

  1. Make sure the power adapter is firmly plugged in and undamaged.

  2. Unplug the power adapter from the outlet and disconnect the cable from your device. Clean the power adapter, the adapter port on your device, and both ends of the cable with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Then firmly plug the power adapter and cable back in.

  3. To check if it's an outlet problem, plug the device into a different outlet that's powering another appliance.

  4. Try a different USB-C cable and compatible USB-C power adapter.

You can further test HomeView (Wall Mounted) by removing it from its third-party mount and plugging it directly into a compatible USB-C power adapter using a USB-C cable (both sold separately). If your device then powers on without the "Not Enough Power" message, contact the mount manufacturer, or your professional installer if you used one, for further assistance.
