MacBook Pro (14-inch and 16-inch, Nov 2023) Lid Angle Sensor
Before You Begin
Remove the following part before you begin:

Tools
Nylon probe (black stick) (922-5065)
Torque driver (blue, 0.65 kgf cm) (923-0448)
Torx Plus 3IP 44 mm half-moon bit (923-08468)
Torx security bit (1IPR) (923-0247)
Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.
Important
If you replace this part, it’s recommended to run Repair Assistant in order to finish the repair. Repair Assistant will be available on the device after you’ve completed all reassembly steps.
Removal
Note: If you’ve already completed the removal steps, skip to reassembly.
Use the blue torque driver and 3IP bit to remove the two 3IP screws (923-06854) from the lid angle sensor connector cowling. Remove the cowling and save it for reassembly.
Use the black stick to lift the end of the lid angle sensor flex cable off the connector.
Use the blue torque driver and Torx security bit to remove the 1IPR screw (923-06852) from the lid angle sensor flex cable clip.
Remove the lid angle sensor from the top case.
Reassembly
Position the clip on the lid angle flex cable so the slot and screw hole on the clip are aligned with the pin and screw hole on the display hinge.
Use the blue torque driver and the Torx security bit to reinstall the 1IPR screw (923-06852) into the lid angle sensor flex cable clip.
Press the end of the lid angle sensor flex cable to the connector.
Position the lid angle sensor connector cowling over the end of the lid angle sensor flex cable. Then use the blue torque driver and 3IP bit to reinstall the two 3IP screws (923-06854) into the lid angle sensor connector cowling.
Reinstall the following part to complete reassembly:
