MV-HEVC (Multiview High Efficiency Video Coding)

A video compression standard based on HEVC (H.265), but with additional support for stereo (stereoscopic) video. MV-HEVC stores the two different views (one for each eye) in separate layers, enabling immersive viewing experiences such as spatial video playback on Apple Vision Pro.

Note: When imported into Motion, MV-HEVC is interpreted as standard HEVC without stereo. To work with the different views, use Final Cut Pro with MV-HEVC.

Working with MV-HEVC video requires a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later.
