If purchases are limited on your account, you might not be able to purchase new items from the App Store or other Apple Media Services.

If you see a message that purchases on your Apple Account have been limited

If Apple detects suspicious activity, some purchase features might be limited for account security or fraud prevention.

How purchase limitations affect your Apple Account

• New purchases and redemptions: You might not be able to make new purchases, sign up for trials, or redeem gift cards and codes.

• Pre-orders: Unreleased pre-orders from the App Store or other Apple Media Services won't be processed or charged. You can cancel your pre-order.

• Active subscriptions: Existing subscriptions will continue to renew as long as you have a valid payment method on file. You can change or update your Apple Account payment method.

• Past purchases: You can continue to access, download, and update content you purchased before your account was limited.
