
Create a personal station in Podcasts on Mac
Use stations (similar to a smart playlist) to group shows you follow based on themes like news, comedy or morning commute. Episodes from the podcasts you choose are automatically added to your station regularly.
A station has the station icon next to it.
Create a station
Go to the Podcasts app
on your Mac.
Click New Station in the sidebar.
If New Station doesn’t appear, click
next to Stations.
Type a name for the station, then click Save.
Click Choose Podcasts, then choose the shows you want to include in the station (or turn on Include All Podcasts).
Click OK, then click OK again.
Play a station
Go to the Podcasts app
on your Mac.
Click a station in the sidebar.
Hold the pointer over the episode you want to play, then click
.
Edit a station
Go to the Podcasts app
on your Mac.
Control-click a station in the sidebar, then choose Settings.
To change which shows are included, click Choose Podcasts, then do any of the following:
Add shows: Click the shows you want to add. Ticks appear next to the shows you select.
Remove shows: Click the shows you want to remove. The ticks next to the shows disappear.
Click OK when you’re done making changes.
To update station settings, change any of the following options:
Station: Rename the station.
Play: Choose what order the podcasts in the station play in.
Group by Show: Turn on to organise episodes by show title and display how many episodes are included for each show.
Episodes: Choose how many episodes per show to include.
Media Type: Choose whether to include audio podcasts, video podcasts or both.
Hide Played Episodes: Turn on to include only episodes you haven’t played yet.
Click OK.
Delete a station
Go to the Podcasts app
on your Mac.
Control-click a station in the sidebar, then choose Delete Station.
Click Delete Station to confirm.
Stations are synced to any device where you’re signed in to the same Apple Account and syncing is turned on. See Sync contacts across devices.
