Send a note through other apps on Mac
You can send your notes using other apps or services such as Mail, Reminders, and more.
When you send a note this way, recipients can’t make changes to the note or see an updated version of the note unless you send it to them again. To allow others to edit a note and see the latest version at any time, share the note.
In the Notes app
on your Mac, click a note in the notes list or double-click a note in Gallery view.
Click
, then choose how you want to send the note—for example, with AirDrop or through another app.
When you send a note with AirDrop, you send it directly to the Notes app of your recipient. The note retains all its formatting and is an independent note.
When you send a note to Reminders, you create a reminder with a direct link to the note.
When you send a note any of the other ways, you just send the content of the note.
Note: If you send a locked note while viewing it, it can be viewed without entering a password.
