Snapping

A feature in Final Cut Pro that lets you easily navigate to and align items in the timeline. When snapping is turned on, items you move in the timeline (including the playhead and selected clips) appear to “snap” directly to certain points in the timeline. This can help you quickly line up edits with other items in the project. You can turn off snapping when frame-by-frame precision editing is required.
