Set up iCloud for third-party apps on all your devices
You can use iCloud with third-party apps on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac. For an overview of what you can do with iCloud, see Keep third-party app data up to date on all your Apple devices with iCloud.
Note: Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID on each device. If you have devices where you’re not signed in with your Apple ID or that have the app’s iCloud feature turned off, your app data won’t be kept up to date on those devices.
Set up iCloud for third-party apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
Scroll down, then turn on the app. For some apps, you need to turn on iCloud Drive before you can turn on the app.
Some third-party apps give you access to the data they store in iCloud Drive. If so, you see a folder with the app’s name in iCloud Drive in the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
For more information on how to use the Files app, see any of the following:
iPhone User Guide: View and modify files and folders in Files on iPhone
iPad User Guide: View and modify files and folders in Files on iPad
iPod touch User Guide: View and modify files and folders in Files on iPod touch
Set up iCloud for third-party apps on your Mac
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
> System Preferences, click Apple ID, then click iCloud.Select iCloud Drive.
Click the Options button, then select the app.
Some third-party apps give you access to the data they store in iCloud Drive. If so, you see a folder with the app’s name in iCloud Drive on your Mac. For more information on how to use iCloud Drive, see Work with files and folders in iCloud Drive in the macOS User Guide.
