Wi-Fi 7 availability on Apple devices
These devices support Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), which can operate across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz Wi-Fi bands. Operation on the 6 GHz band is not available in all regions.
Apple devices that support Wi-Fi 7
Apple devices that support Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 or later can join Wi-Fi 7 networks, but only these devices support all of the features of Wi-Fi 7:
MacBook Pro with M5 Pro or M5 Max chip or later
MacBook Air with M5 chip or later
Mac mini with M5 Pro chip or later
Mac Studio with M5 Max chip or later
iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, or later (excluding iPhone 16e, iPhone 17e)
iPhone Air
iPad Pro with M5 chip or later
iPad Air with M4 chip or later
Availability of Wi-Fi 7 on the 6 GHz band
Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 features that operate on the 6 GHz band are available only in regions that permit unlicensed Wi-Fi use in that spectrum. If regulatory approval of such operation is unavailable in your region, your device uses only the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for Wi-Fi.
