In order to reinstate syncing between your devices and to access your calendar at me.com, you must upgrade. See the How do I upgrade MobileMe Calendar? section below for instructions.

I participated in the MobileMe Calendar beta.  Do I need to do anything?

No. If you upgraded during the MobileMe Calendar beta, your account is already set up and you can continue to use the MobileMe Calendar.

How do I set up my iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC?

Setup instructions are available here.

Why does my Calendar data need to be "upgraded"?

As part of the MobileMe Calendar upgrade, your data is migrated to the CalDAV-based calendar service. CalDAV is an industry-standard calendar protocol that works with the latest Apple devices.

If you joined MobileMe after October 14, 2010, you are already using this calendar service and data migration is not necessary. Check this web page to be sure all of your computers and devices are set up correctly.

After upgrading, I received a warning that all of my calendars have been deleted. What happened?

Note: If you get this warning and you're using Mac OS X v10.5.x Leopard, see this article for more information.

As part of the migration to the MobileMe Calendar, your data is moved to the CalDAV-based calendar service. After the migration is complete, redundant data is deleted from the existing calendar service to prevent duplicate data from appearing in your calendar. As a result, Mac OS X or the MobileMe Control Panel for Windows may report that all synced calendars have been deleted. (This should only happen if you are not using Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later,  or MobileMe Control Panel 1.6.3). As long as you can see all of your calendars at me.com/calendar, you can safely accept this change. You can open another browser window to verify all of your calendars are there.

After your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and PC are set up fo MobileMe Calendar, your calendars should be viewable as before.

I received an alert message when upgrading. What should I do?

See this article for ways to troubleshoot upgrade issues.

Can I access MobileMe Calendar using Safari on my iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch?

The MobileMe Calendar can be accessed with the built-in Calendar app on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Access with Safari is not supported on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Can I use MobileMe Calendar with Microsoft Outlook if I’m also using Outlook to connect to the Microsoft Exchange Server?

Yes, support for Microsoft Outlook (Windows) with Microsoft Exchange has been added with MobileMe Calendar. Now Outlook users on Windows can view MobileMe calendars side-by-side with Exchange calendars. (Exchange calendar data is kept separate from MobileMe data and not synced).

The MobileMe Control Panel for Windows is required to view and edit MobileMe calendars from Microsoft Outlook.

Mac users can take advantage of built-in support for Microsoft Exchange in Mac OS X Snow Leopard to view and manage their Exchange calendars in iCal. And with iCal, users can view and manage their MobileMe calendars along with their Exchange calendars.

Can I use Microsoft Outlook on Windows with MobileMe Calendar if my organization uses a proxy server?

Yes, the MobileMe Calendar works with most common proxy configurations (MobileMe Control Panel 1.6.3)

Who can I share private calendars with?

A shared private calendar can only be viewed and edited by MobileMe members to whom you have granted permission. It is a good way to share a calendar with a family member.

Who can I share public calendars with?

A public calendar can be viewed (but not edited) by anyone you have provided a sharing link. It is a good way to share a calendar with a group or team. The group or team members do not have to be MobileMe members or be using MobileMe Calendar.

How does someone view a shared public calendar?

To view the public calendar, the user must have access to a calendar service or software that supports viewing webcal links. Webcal links can be added to the Calendar apps on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, iCal on Mac, Microsoft Outlook on a PC, and many calendar services on the web.

Who can I invite to an event?

You can invite anyone with an email address to participate in an event. If you invite MobileMe members who are also using MobileMe Calendar, they will receive notifications in their notification box at me.com/calendar, in iCal, and on their iOS 4 device. Other invitees will receive an email that will let them accept or decline the invitation and download an event file (.ics) to add to their favorite calendar application.
