iPhone: VoiceOver audio does not automatically go to the speaker phone

Symptoms

When you are on a call using the speaker option, you may not hear VoiceOver audio as loud as expected.

Resolution

By default, VoiceOver audio will always move to the earpiece speaker when a call is initiated.

To trigger the proximity sensor, hold the phone up to your ear temporarily. This will cause VoiceOver audio to switch to the speaker phone.
