Server Monitor is unresponsive when configuring LOM

Xserve (Early 2008), Xserve (Early 2009), Xserve (Late 2006)

Symptoms

Server Monitor may become unresponsive when configuring Lights Out Management (LOM). Additionally, you may see the following message in system.log:

kernel[0] <Debug>: AppleKCS::waitForIBF timed out!

Resolution

  1. Shut down the Xserve and disconnect it from a power source for at least ten seconds.
  2. Reconnect the power and restart the Xserve.
