iOS and iCloud: Does not work as expected with Microsoft Office 2010 using Click-to-Run

Symptoms

iTunes Syncing and iCloud will not work with Microsoft Outlook 2010 if you are using Click-to-Run. Outlook will not appear as a selectable sync option if you use Click-to-Run in order to run Microsoft Office 2010.

Resolution

To use iTunes Sync or iCloud with Microsoft Outlook 2010, you need the full version of Microsoft Office 2010. iCloud and iTunes require a full version of Microsoft Office 2010 be installed locally on the hard drive of the computer.
