MobileMe: Help not accessible in Backup 3.2

Symptoms

When trying to access the Help content in Backup 3.2, you see the message "Help Viewer cannot open this content."

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Click the OK button in the alert message
  2. Close the Backup Help window to quit Help Viewer.
  3. Open the Terminal application (found in /Applications/Utilities).
  4. In the Terminal window, type the following command and then press the Enter or Return key:
  5. killall helpd

  6. Go to ~/Library/Caches  (the "~" represents your Home folder).
  7. From the Caches folder, drag the "com.apple.helpd" and the "com.apple.helpviewer" folders to the Trash.
  8. Open Backup again.
