Symptoms

Rendering RED 4K media in a 2K project causes the resulting image to appear softer than the original. This issue may occur with proxy support disabled, set to full resolution, or set to quarter resolution.

Resolution

Set the Render Proxy to Half Resolution in the User Preferences tab in the Setup Room to avoid this issue.

Render improvements for rendering RED 4K media to 2K using Half Resolution proxies were implemented in Color 1.5.2
