Aperture 3: "Invalid iPhoto Library" alert when importing an iPhoto Library

Symptoms

When you attempt to import your iPhoto 7.1.5 or later iPhoto library into Aperture 3 you may receive the following alert:

 Invalid iPhoto Library

Resolution

This issue can occur if the iPhoto Library is not selected in the import window. Be sure to click the iPhoto Library to select it first, then click Import.
