Aperture 3: Alert when opening Help in Japanese after upgrade from Aperture 2

Symptoms

The alert "HVURLHandlerErrorDomain - 1002" appears when you try to access the Aperture 3 Help menu after upgrading from Aperture 2. This occurs when using Aperture in Japanese.

Resolution

To resolve the issue:
  1. In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder
  2. In the Go to Folder dialog, type ~/Library/Preferences.
  3. Delete the "com.apple.help.plist" file that you find there.
  4. Log out of the current user and then log back in.
