Mac OS X Server v10.6: Clients logged in with an alias may not see their blog

Symptoms

When clients use a secondary short name (an alias) to log into a Mac OS X Server v10.6-based web server they may not be able to see their blog.

Resolution

Use one of the following methods to access the blog:

  • After logging in with the secondary short name, click "Create my Blog" to see the blog

    or
     
  • Log in with the original account short name instead of a secondary one
