MainStage 2.1: Some features may not be available in 64-bit mode

Symptoms

When you are working with MainStage 2.1 in 64-bit mode, some features may not be available. Concerts created in one mode can be opened in the other, so you may switch back to 32-bit mode to access these features whenever necessary.

 

Resolution

You can switch MainStage between 32- and 64-bit mode following these steps:

  1. Quit MainStage if it is running.
  2. Navigate to, and select the MainStage application in the Applications folder.
  3. Choose Get Info from the Finder File menu.
  4. Enable the "Open in 32-bit mode" checkbox to run MainStage in 32-bit mode.
    Disable the checkbox to run MainStage in 64-bit mode.

     

The following features are only available when you use MainStage in 32-bit mode:

  • Recycle (REX) file support
  • ReWire support
  • Vienna Symphonic Library Tool
  • AKAI format sample import
