If you try to open Aperture 2.0 - 2.1.3 on a computer running Mac OS X v10.6, you will see this dialog:

Resolution

Aperture 2.1.4 is required for Mac OS X v10.6. To update Aperture 2.x to 2.1.4:

Using Software Update:

  1. Be sure your computer is connected to the internet.
  2. Click the Apple () menu at the upper-left corner of your screen.
  3. Choose Software Update.
  4. Install the Aperture 2.1.4 update.

Using the manual download:

  1. Go to the Aperture Download page.
  2. Type in your Aperture 2 serial number.
  3. Click the link labeled "Download the Aperture 2.1.4 update."
  4. The installer will open when the download completes.

Note: Aperture must be located in /Applications and must not be renamed for the update to work.
