Aperture 3: "Do not import duplicates" option does not work with video and audio files

Symptoms

The Aperture import window shows video and audio files that have already been imported, even when the "Do not import duplicates" option is enabled.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in Aperture 3.1.

To update to Aperture 3.1, follow these steps:

  1. From the Apple () menu, choose Software Update.
  2. After Software Update scans for available updates, click the Show Details button in the Software Update dialog and make sure Aperture 3.1 is listed and checked.
  3. Click the Install button.
