iTunes for Windows: May quit unexpectedly when playing protected content from the iTunes Store

Symptoms
If iTunes unexpectedly quits when playing protected audio or video files from the iTunes Store, check your computer to see if BitDefender Internet Security 2010 software is installed. If it is, follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.
Resolution
Change your BitDefender Active Virus Control Settings to exclude iTunes.exe
- From your PC, open BitDefender 2010 by choosing Start > All Programs > BitDefender 2010.
- When it opens, click Settings.
- Choose Switch UI to > Expert Mode.
- Click OK and close the window.
- Click Antivirus from the tabs along the left.
- Click Shield from the tabs along the top.
- Click Advanced Settings.
- Click the plus sign in the Exclusions section of the window.
- Navigate to "iTunes.exe," installed in C: \Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe
- Click Open.
- Click OK.
- Reopen iTunes and play your audio or video file from iTunes Store.
