Mac OS X v10.6: System Profiler states "Stealth Mode: No" even though stealth mode is enabled

Symptoms

With stealth mode enabled (in Security preferences' Firewall tab, after clicking the Advanced button), System Profiler may incorrectly report "Stealth Mode: No" in its Firewall section.

Resolution

You can ignore the Stealth Mode status reported in System Profiler. Check Security preferences' Firewall tab (Advanced button) to see if stealth mode is enabled or not.
