Archived - iPod nano (5th generation): What to do if Video Camera preview screen is black

If you find that the Video Camera preview screen is black on your iPod nano (5th generation) after you select Video Camera on the device, follow the steps below to resolve the issue. If you try to exit the Video Camera application by pressing the Menu button after the screen turns black, the device might become unresponsive (learn how to reset, if necessary).


1. Update your iPod nano (5th generation) to 1.0.1 software or later.

2. If after updating your iPod to 1.0.1 software or later the issue persists, get your iPod nano (5th generation) serviced.
