Boot Camp installation halts while installing drivers on Microsoft Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2)

Symptoms
After installing Microsoft Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2) and beginning to install Boot Camp drivers, Boot Camp driver installation may halt during installation of the Intel Chipset drivers. The computer may become unresponsive, and may need to be restarted.
Resolution
This issue affects Microsoft Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2) only. Before installing any Boot Camp drivers, please review and install Microsoft's hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921411. Once this hotfix is installed, you will be able to successfully install Boot Camp drivers from your Mac OS X Install DVD.
